The quest for the next culinary star on “Top Chef” has begun.

The popular culinary competition show “Top Chef” from Bravo kicks off its 23rd season tonight, March 9. This season sees a return to a somewhat familiar venue. After Season 14 was filmed entirely in Charleston, South Carolina, this new season will take place throughout North and South Carolina, with the central “Top Chef” kitchen set up in Steele Creek, North Carolina.

The winner of this season’s “Top Chef” will receive $250,000, a feature in Food & Wine magazine, a chance to appear at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, Colorado, an opportunity to lead a special dinner at the James Beard House in New York, and a presenting slot at The James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards in Chicago, according to Bravo.

Following tonight’s show, “Top Chef” will shift to its regular broadcast slot at 9:30 p.m. ET starting next Monday, March 16. Each episode of “Top Chef” Season 23 will last 75 minutes.

‘Top Chef’ Season 23 Launch

“Top Chef” Season 23 debuts tonight, March 9, at a special time, 9 p.m. ET on Bravo. Future episodes will air weekly on Mondays at 9:30 p.m. starting after tonight’s premiere.

Judges for ‘Top Chef’ Season 23

Kristen Kish, winner of “Top Chef” Season 10, is back hosting for her third season. Head judge Tom Colicchio and series regular Gail Simmons complete the judging panel.

Reflecting the season’s Carolina setting, Bravo’s “Southern Charm” stars Madison LeCroy and Craig Conover will appear as guest judges, according to the season’s trailer.
