We first featured Emily Faye back in November of last with her fantastic single ‘Open Road’, which saw Emily really make a mark on the scene – such an impact in fact that she was named as one of Rolling Stone Country’s ‘Top Ten Artists You Need To Know’ at the end of the year. I was delighted to hear that she’d be releasing an EP and here it is – or as Emily puts it ‘Here I Am’!
As you can hear for yourself, the record is real nice mix – the catchy uplifting ‘Open Road’, the heartbreak of ‘Giving In’, the attitude of ‘Game Over’ and in a nice change for a country record, a love song where everything has turned out perfectly in ‘Me For Me’. Emily Faye has wonderful, expressive vocals and ‘Here I Am’ is a fantastic introduction to an artist who is surely going places.
Emily Faye: ‘So excited to finally be releasing the EP I recorded last year in Nashville – I can’t wait to share a little bit more of me, and I just really hope people will like it. It was an absolutely amazing experience recording in Nashville with such talented people bringing my songs to life’. The release will be marked with EP launch shows in Faye’s hometown of Northampton on 28th April (at The Ark), and at London’s The Bedford venue on 1st May, before Emily heads out on the ‘Write Like A Girl’ tour (announced this week) with Beth Keeping & Vic Allen:
