Female Artists Dominate the Spellemannprisen ‘Country’ Award Nominations
Congratulations to The Northern Belle, Malin Pettersen and Hege Øversveen on their Spellemannsprisen nominations! So deserved!
Spellemannprisen, often referred to as the Norwegian Grammy Awards, is an annual music award that was first took place in 1973. The Spellemann committee, composed of members of IFPI Norway and FONO, manages the award and acts as the judge. There are twenty-one categories in all, including the single ‘country music’ category – so it’s fantastic to see such a great representation of female artists in the awards.
