Trisha Yearwood – New Single and Album News

As much as we love our “New Music Fridays” here at Belles and Gals, this week also gave us a fantastic “New Music Thursday” in the shape of a single from country music icon Trisha Yearwood.
“Every Girl In This Town” is a blend of nostalgia and empowerment, in which she reminisces about her youth and sings about not being afraid of chasing your dreams, even if others try to quash them, or of failure. The artwork is appropriately a childhood photo of Trisha looking as if she is ready to take on the world!
Co-wrtitten by Caityln Smith, Erik Dylan and multi-award winner Connie Harrington it is the first taste of what is to come from her next album which is rumoured for release this Autumn ( date tba) an incredible twenty eight years after her 1991 self titled debut album that went double platinum.

While it was great to hear Trisha sounding as fantastic as always on her recent album of Sinatra covers. ” Let’s Be Frank” , her first studio album in over ten years, who can’t fail to be excited about a new full on country album from her? And, as with this single, there are apparently a lot of female writers involved throughout its fourteen tracks ….in an interview with iHeartRadio Trisha tells how “I didn’t set out to make a statement about women in country music, although they’re not nearly enough. But I found some amazing songs written by females, and it just happened that way”.
There are strong rumours of a solo tour announcement to coincide with the album, lets hope that UK dates are on the horizon too! Of course we will keep you posted!
