Today, (Friday, September 27th) Kentucky native Carly Pearce officially released her stunning collaboration with Lee Brice.
The new track titled ‘I Hope You’re Happy Now’ tells the story of a heart-wrenching break-up and the realisation that whatever happened between them as a couple they only want the other to be genuinely happy in whatever comes next.
It’s a powerful, emotive track that allows the stunning vocal tone of Carly Pearce to really shine whilst the added bonus of the rich tone of Lee Brice elevates it to exciting new heights.
This is the latest taste of what listeners can expect from Carly’s forthcoming sophomore LP which is slated for release in early 2020 and promises to be one of the major standout releases of the year.
Speaking about the track and dueting with Lee, Pearce says: “I often gravitate towards the beauty and the break in Country music, probably why it’s always been my dream to experience the realness of life so openly. Writing ‘I Hope You’re Happy Now’ with Luke Combs, Jonathan Singleton and Randy Montana brought up sadness from the past but I truly hope there is happiness now. Thank you, Lee, for lending your unsurpassable voice to perfectly tell my story.”
And Brice adds: “Carly has such emotion in her voice, especially on a song like this, that’s really powerful. I’m honored she asked me to record this duet.”
Along with sharing the official audio for the breathtaking collaboration; ‘I Hope You’re Happy Now’, Carly Pearce and Lee Brice have also shared the official lyric video too, which you can watch here:
This track promises to become a huge chart and radio hit thanks to its honest and relatable lyrics and the stunning vocal tones and harmonies of Pearce and Brice.
