Belles and Gals Showcase Spotlight #3 – Megan Rose

It’s the fifth Belles and Gals showcase on Sunday, our regular event at the iconic Water Rats venue in London. The showcase is a Nashville style in the round event, featuring four female singer songwriters. The event on Sunday features Hannah Paris, Megan Rose, Georgia Barker and host Shannon Hynes and we’re spotlighting one of the artists every day – today it’s Megan Rose!

Megan Rose is a singer songwriter who first came to our attention at Belles and Gals after the release of the fantastic single ’19’ earlier this year. The track, which you can see above, is simply brilliant – full of references to Johnny and June Carter Cash, while Megan Rose‘s emotive vocals add a great depth to the song.

The latest single from the Essex based artist is ‘No Strings’ which came out just a couple of weeks ago! This new release has a fantastic energy, with great production and shows a different, edgier side to Megan Rose – you hear a song as good as this and you realise that not all of the best talent in country music comes from the other side of the Atlantic!
