Lily Garland “Rise Above The Ashes” EP – Out Tomorrow!
Lily Garland is one of our favourite artists at Belles and Gals, regularly featuring on the site, almost since our start nearly four years ago. And tomorrow she releases her ‘Rise Above the Ashes’ EP, which alongside the new title single, is a retrospective of her work over the last couple of years.
Tracks on the EP include ‘I’m Coming For You’ (which we reviewed here) with the comment ‘Lily has struck gold again – I really like the attitude that Lily shows in the song, the production is superb and the vocals are spot on throughout.‘
‘Queen of the World’ also features, (which we reviewed here) ‘the vocals are just great and the added feistiness in Lily’s voice towards the end of the song just grabs you with both hands.‘
All six tracks of the EP show off exactly how talented Lily Garland is, with the new title track opening the proceedings with a Carrie Underwood-esque feistiness! The EP is a must listen!
About the new single, Lily writes, ‘”I am so pleased to be finally releasing Rise Above the Ashes. Written with Alix Robson at ChartHouse Portsmouth, this song has been 2 years in the making! Inspired by the strong women in country music I wanted to write a track that felt empowering and would be a great song to perform with the band.“
“I am very excited to be working with Ian Sephton and Fretsore Records and look forward to getting my music out to you guys on the road, performing these songs at festivals in 2020 and seeing what the future holds!“
