Jess and the Bandits Announce New EP ‘Riding Shotgun’

Following a massively successful tour of the UK which resulted in a number of sold-out shows across the country, fast-rising British/American country music band Jess and the Bandits have announced they are returning in 2020 with brand new music.

The confirmation of the new EP titled ‘Riding Shotgun’ which will be dropping this Friday (January 10th) came on social media with the caption: “Happy New Year guys! I hope you have all eaten your body-weight in chocolate and spent time with those you love. We’re kicking off 2020 with a brand new single and EP”.

The record has been written with some of Nashville’s leading songwriting talent including Victoria Banks (Jessica Simpson, Sara Evans, Johnny Reid), Emily Shakelton (Carly Pearce, Lauren Alaina, Cassadee Pope) Josh Osborne (Tim McGraw, Kacey Musgraves) and our very own Jessica Sharman (Ward Thomas, Sarah Darling). It is an outstanding EP that effortlessly captures the authentic Nashville sonic sound, with an added dose of pop sensibility.

Over the last several years, Jess and the Bandits have been touring and releasing their own unique brand of UK country music, and have built up a loyal and dedicated fan base along the way with much-aclaimed appearances at high-profile festivals such as Country 2 Country, Black Deer Festival, Nashville Meets London and The Long Road. They have also found fans across BBC Radio 2, appearing on the late, great Terry Wogan’s Sunday morning show and have seen their music featured on the station’s playlist, and have also racked up multiple TV appearances.

With the release of the ‘Riding Shotgun’ EP, Jess and the Bandits are kicking off the new year in style before heading off on an intimate acoustic tour in April. The five-track record is jam-packed with emotive songs as well as pop crossovers.

The full tracklist and songwriting credits are as follows:

Love Don’t Give a Damn: Scott Stepakoff, Josh Osborne, and Kelleigh Bannen.

Bulletproof: Amber Carrington, Victoria Banks, Emily Shackelton
