The British Country Music Festival Launch No Chords But The Truth Podcast

Growing brand The British Country Music Festival have announced their latest venture: a podcast titled No Chords But The Truth.

The project will be presented by Country Hits Radio host Matt Spracklen. Since becoming a major player within the British country music scene Spracklen has established himself as one of the UK’s leading authorities on all things country and Americana.

The podcast will see Matt Spracklen interviewing artists and industry professionals who are synonymous with the British country and Americana music phenomenon.

Speaking about working on the No Chords But The Truth podcast, Matt says: “I will be spending time with some of the leading British singer-songwriters and musicians who are making a real impact. We will dig deep to discuss the highs and lows of life as a musician today and because everyone’s journey is different, hopefully listeners will relate to the same struggles and hurdles and then take away something positive and relevant for them from each episode.”

The podcast launched on Sunday, February 2nd with two episodes.

The first features the multi award-winning performer Jake Morrell discussing everything from breaking into the industry via a well known TV and radio celebrity, to mental health problems that can affect musicians on the road.

Whilst the second features leading record producer and singer-songwriter Tim Prottey-Jones chatting about his convoluted route to country music via musical theatre and the aspects of the industry he personally finds difficult.

The British Country Music Festival will return to Blackpoolthis September on the 4th, 5th and 6th in the spectacular indoor Winter Gardens entertainment complex.

Promoter and TBCMF co-producer Martin Blore said: “Our festival has been created primarily to showcase the outstanding, new British country, roots and Americana artists who are emerging every year. Matt Spracklen was top of our list as a presenter, because he shares that same passion for promoting the best home-grown singer-songwriters.”
