Caylee Hammack Album News
Back in June last year when we first featured this exciting talent on the site (https://www.bellesandgals.com/2019/06/10/introducing-caylee-hammack/) we mentioned plans were afoot for an album release, and this week more details were finally revealed.
“If It Wasn’t For You” will arrive on August 14th via Capitol Nashville, and is Caylee’s major label debut which sees her co-writing and co-producing (alongside Mikey Reaves) every track on the 13-song collection.
The album’s title is a tribute to all the people in Caylee’s life who have made it possible, and it seems like we can look forwards to more of the honesty, vulnerability and humour she has shown us already on songs such as “Family Tree”, “Small Town Hypocrite” and “Just Friends” which make the track listing. To quote Caylee, “I want the nitty gritty to shine through, that’s where the stories are “.
A couple of the tracks feature some other incredible female country artists with whom you will no doubt be familiar, including the legend who is Reba on the rousing song “Readhead” (well, who better to collaborate with on this one !) which was made available last Friday.
Currently nominated for ACM “New Female Artist Of The Year” and “Music Event Of the Year” ( for “Fooled Around and Fell In Love”) the rest of 2020 looks like an exciting time for Caylee and her ever growing fanbase, building on her previous successes which include her Opry debut last August and opening slots for the likes of Miranda Lambert, Trisha Yearwood and Eric Church. Of course she was set to visit us here in the UK for this year’s C2C festival too, so let’s hope we will see her add some European dates to her schedule when things permit.
