After making waves with her debut single ‘Space’ and reaching number one on the UK Country Music digital sales chart, Harleymoon Kemp returns with a powerful and relatable ballad titled ‘She Looks Like Me’. The track recalls a painful encounter with an old-lover and their new partner, and the inevitable heartbreak and pain the encounter induces. The guitar-laden melody lends itself well to the single’s emotional lyricism and it is clear to see that the track was produced as a result of Kemp’s personal experiences.

Speaking of the encounter, and the track, Kemp says “This moment really hurt at the time, left me confused, flushed and uncertain of how I was meant to feel. The song was burning inside me for months after that. Once I got to Nashville it was written within an hour, wound freshly re-opened. I wanted a singular, acoustic production to feel how I did; lonely.

Co-written in the home of country music with the late Blue Miller and produced by Fred Abbott (Noah and The Whale), the track continues to build on the impressive debut Kemp made with ‘Space’. The track’s simple acoustic sound accentuates Kemp’s tonal vocals leading to a wonderfully emotional and excellent display of Kemp’s musical talent.

Having already featured on major radio stations (BBC Radio, Country Hits, Chris Country) and CMT for the accompanying video to her debut single, Kemp will perform ‘She Looks Like Me’ as an exclusive live TV debut on ITV on the 20th September.
