Nashville’s Candi Carpenter To Play Debut UK Shows

We first featured Candi Carpenter on the site back in 2018 when we described her as a “real rising star” in our interview with the super talented Nashville based artist ,now a mainstay at music city’s fantastic Song Suffragette shows

Having made her Opry debut the following year, she returned to that hallowed stage a few months later to perform “Little Sparrow” for the BBC’s “Dolly Parton : 50 Years At The Grand Ole Opry” with Dolly herself citing her as “one of the greatest singer/songwriters bar none“.

As well as her solo work, Candi also has what she has described as a “wonderfully weird side project” going on, Church of Roswell, with her friend Josh Doyle who recorded their EP with Jason Isbell’s band The 400 Unit. Earlier this year Candi released her own debut EP “When The Asteroid Comes” produced by non other than Grammy Award winner Brandi Carlile who also contributed background vocals to the project. To quote Brandi, “Candi has a story to tell and a voice that is honestly out of this world” .
And the great news for us over on this side of the pond is that Candi is set to bring her stories and voice to the UK next month, the first time many of us will have had the opportunity to see this exciting artist. With just three shows scheduled, including the British Country Music Festival, chances to catch her debut performances here are limited so check out the ticket links at her website where you’ll also find more artist information plus links to her music and socials… the London show sees the wonderful Jade Helliwell opening the proceedings, this will be MY first live music experience for a very long time and I must say I can’t wait!
