Hannah May Allison moving on with new track – Couldn’t Care Less

On Friday 1st April Hannah May Allison comes back at ya with her latest release Couldn’t Care Less, an upbeat post-breakup anthem. Nashville based, this Californian singer-songwriter gives us her take on moving on from a past partner and her response to the tales, gossip and Instagram pics that are aimed at the spurned lover.

HMA says, “I wrote this song about an ex who did everything he could to flaunt his new life without me. He was telling my friends to tell me things, posting pictures online constantly, and even though he was the one who broke up with me, I was so OVER feeling like this was some kind of competition of who’s doing better than who. I think a lot of people can relate to this feeling after a breakup, and even if you’re not over your ex yet, I just hope this song can be a nice motivational push for anyone trying to move on!”

This track starts with a smooth, intriguing intro that moves into the first verse outlining what friends have been telling the singer about the ex-lovers new life and straight into the hook

“It didn’t take long for the news to hit me

so if you’re wondering how I’m taking it

well I just, I just couldn’t care less“

This hook leads into a circling pre chorus building some tension with layered vocal effects, before going into the anthemic chorus declaring

“If you’re thinking that its 24/7 with you stuck in my head

Always wondering what you’re doing and

Who you’ll be with

well truth is honey ever since you left

I just couldn‘t care less!“

Another toe tapping, catchy track, this one was written by Sean Spollen and Erika Raen and produced by Zachary Manno.  Guitar-led with use of vocoder effects and programmed trap drums, this track has definite summer vibes and the crisp country-pop delivery we’ve come to expect from HMA and one you can easily hear on the dance floor.

Hannah May Allison has kept her promise to deliver plenty of new music over the last two years and has definitely crafted her sound and built a community of keen followers and supporters. Thanks HMA for another empowering, moving on, summer country-pop track.
