Dallas Smith and MacKenzie Porter Duet On New Single “One Too”

Canadian label mates Dallas Smith and MacKenzie Porter have joined forces to release a stunning new single, “One Too” , out now via Big Loud Records. The rueful, pensive break-up ballad sees the two artists sharing emotional lead vocals and harmonising beautifully as they try to accept the end of what they both thought was going to be their forever relationship… “I didn’t plan on learning how to live without you. I thought I’d found my settle down the night I found you. We used to talk about forever now look at what it’s come to. I didn’t just love you, I thought you were the one too. ”

The release comes as international country star Smith celebrates his 12th number one at Canadian Country Radio with “Hide From A Broken Heart “ and the same week as he kicks off his Canadian headlining “Some Things Never Change” tour with James Barker Band and special guest Meghan Patrick plus emerging country artists Shawn Austin, JoJo Mason, Kelly Prescott and Manny Blu.

We first introduced you to Nashville-based MacKenzie Porter back in 2020 (https://www.bellesandgals.com/2020/11/10/introducing-nashville-based-mackenzie-porter/) and she is rising to international acclaim after building momentum with her first ever US number one, the six-week chart topping Dustin Lynch collaboration “Thinking ‘Bout You” as well as making her own mark simultaneously with a string of successful singles, her 7-track release “Drinkin’ Songs : The Collection” and joining CMT’s Next Women Of Country class of 2021. She has just wrapped a three-month run supporting Walker Hayes on his “Fancy Like” tour. It’s clear that Dallas Smith has already played a large part in her career to date, with MacKenzie explaining that the two artists met back in 2015 when they played a show together. She tells how “In 2016 he introduced me to my now label, producer, and manager. In 2019 he took me out on tour with me for 2 months. Many of us know Dallas as an incredible artist, but what you might not know is how much he helps other artists around him.
