Introducing Big Machine Label Group’s New Signing Mackenzie Carpenter

Hailing from Athens, GA, today we are pleased to be introducing you to soulful country artist Mackenzie Carpenter who has recently joined the Big Machine Label Group . Her debut label single “Can’t Nobody” , released with Valory Music Company and written by Mackenzie alongside Brigetta Truitt and Peyton Porter,  is available now on all streaming services.  The beautiful break-up ballad sees Mackenzie looking back on everything her ex excelled at, from the way he wore old blue jeans to how he won over her parents and made her laugh and comparing him to others who are at the top of their game…. including Dolly and her songwriting, and Johnny and June’s love for one another.

He even had “walkin’ out down to a ‘T'” but thankfully is seems that she is not going to be moping about alone for too long as she tells us “can’t nobody move on quite like me”.

Mackenzie first started singing as a child in her local church, and was inspired to begin writing songs by her father while her two older brothers taught her how to play guitar. Fast forward to her teenage years, when she moved to Nashville to study at the prestigious Belmont University and immediately immersed herself in the city’s renown songwriting culture. Her first cut as a songwriter, “Villain”, landed at No.1 on the iTunes country chart and she is rapidly building a fanbase online and on the road, having already opened for Parker McCollum, Craig Campbell, Ryan Hurd and Conner Smith. And she is set to join Jake Owen on a string of dates Stateside later this year.
Definitely an exciting and talented artist who we will be watching with great interest.
