Sunny Sweeney Announces Highly Anticipated New Album… Lead Single Out Now!

Those patiently waiting for Sunny Sweeney to release the follow up to her stunning 2017 album “Provoked” which earned the Texan native rave reviews will be rewarded on September 23rd when her latest project “Married Alone” finds its way into the world. Pre-Order/Pre-Save here https://orcd.co/marriedalone

Available via Thirty Tigers and produced by Paul Cauthen and the Texas Gentleman’s Beau Bedford, the 12-track project was recorded at Dallas’s Modern Electric Sound Recorders and was mixed by the team there with the help of the studio’s owner Jeff Saenz upon his unbelievable return to work after being electrocuted in a freak accident. It is described as a loosely conceptual album about loss and healing, which brings together confessional songwriting, image-rich narratives and plenty of sonic surprises!
There’s a taste of what to expect on the lead single “A Song Can’t Fix Everything” which is available now… one of the several album tracks which credits singer/songwriter extraordinaire Lori McKenna alongside Sunny (see full track list/ writing credits below) . Talking about what inspired the track, Sunny says “I was stepping into the elevator at my hotel as we were leaving Chicago after a great run, and this title popped into my head“. She continues to explain how the song is “about just trying to find those three minutes of happiness you get relating to something and taking yourself out of your everyday life. Letting yourself slip away, it can feel it’s going to be ok, even if ultimately it may not be“. She is joined on vocals by co-producer, beloved Texas musician and larger-than-life personality Paul Cauthen.
