Taylor Swift’s followers have diligently analyzed each aspect of her expansive 149-concert Eras Tour, particularly focusing on a striking outfit choice unveiled during the final stretch of her performances that commenced in Miami in October 2024.

Throughout her three-night stint in Miami, Swift introduced several new outfits. However, a particular black-and-gold snake-adorned Roberto Cavalli bodysuit, crafted by Fausto Puglisi for the “Reputation” segment, has sparked extensive fan speculation for over a year. This outfit change stirred significant excitement both among concertgoers and those catching clips on social media.
Before this, Swift consistently wore a black-and-red outfit during the “Reputation” segment throughout the Eras Tour, which started in March 2023. After more than 130 performances, the original outfit began to show signs of wear, necessitating a replacement.
The process of creating a new bodysuit was challenging for Swift’s long-time stylist, Joseph Cassell Falconer, and his team, as the fabric from the original design was no longer available, requiring them to start anew.
In the third episode of the documentary, we see Swift trying on an initial version of the new design, immediately noticing fit issues. She expressed frustration, saying, “It’s just really annoying and I have to do athletic s–t in this,” pointing out how the placement of the bust cups made the suit impractical for her performance movements.
Remarkably, just moments before her performance at Hard Rock Stadium, the design issues were resolved.
“It fits. It fits. It fits,” Swift joyfully proclaimed backstage. “I don’t know how you guys managed this. It’s perfect. Nothing is going to pop out. It’s now my favorite. I didn’t see this coming. I’m shocked.” Nearby, a relieved Cassell remarked, “People are going to lose their minds.”
Many enthusiasts speculated that this costume change was a teaser for a potential release of “Reputation: Taylor’s Version.” However, this theory has yet to materialize. Instead, Swift has used proceeds from the Eras Tour to reacquire her masters from Shamrock Capital, including her original “Reputation” album.
In May 2025, Swift announced on Instagram, holding her six original albums, “You belong with me,” and directed her followers to a letter on her website explaining the reacquisition. Since this event, Swift feels there is no longer a necessity to re-record the album or revisit that emotional landscape.
The financial success of the Eras Tour not only allowed Swift to regain control over her previous works but also enabled her to distribute generous bonuses to everyone involved in the tour, from backup dancers to trailer truck drivers.
The tour, which spanned nearly two years, featured almost 100 costume changes, providing endless material for fans to pore over.
These events and others are detailed in Episodes 3 and 4 of the “End of an Era” documentary series, currently available for streaming on Disney+.
