Phoebe Bridgers Debuts New Tattoo Dedicated to Bo Burnham
Phoebe Bridgers, the 32-year-old singer, has just added a fresh tattoo to her collection. Situated just below her collarbone, the new ink spells out “Bobby” in elegant script, a nod to her boyfriend, Bo Burnham. This detail was shared by Matt Vazquez, a tattoo artist based in Los Angeles.

The name “Bobby” is also a direct reference to a song on Bridgers’ latest album “Lost Weekend,” which was released on August 14. The song details her relationship with Burnham through lyrics such as “Now I sleep in your shirts and you live in my house” and “This could be the end of wanting.”
Collaboration and Accidental Revelation
Bo Burnham, aged 36, played a significant role in the creation of “Lost Weekend,” co-writing seven out of the sixteen tracks and even lending his voice to the song “Bobby.” The duo was rumored to be dating since late 2022, but their relationship was inadvertently confirmed by Keith Urban during a video at the Eras Tour in May 2023.
Additionally, Vazquez added a spiderweb tattoo on Bridgers’ left elbow, which sits beneath a heart inscribed with “Max,” a tribute to her dearly departed dog.
These new designs complement her existing collection of tattoos, which includes a barbed wire design around her bicep, a burning match on her forearm, and the phrase “drink water” on her left wrist.
A unique tooth design on her wrist matches similar tattoos on her Boygenius bandmates, Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker. They also share tattoos of the Three of Cups tarot card, celebrating their friendship.
In a 2023 Rolling Stone profile, Bridgers humorously predicted a “toxic tattoo year” for herself, hinting at more intriguing ink to come.

During a 2021 episode of the now-discontinued podcast “Kesha and the Creepies,” Bridgers and Kesha discussed their views on tattoos, both impressive and regrettable.
Bridgers playfully remarked, “I gotta be honest, I think if you only have incredible tattoos, you’re a cop.” Kesha chimed in jokingly, “Or you’re a serial killer!”
Bridgers expressed a laid-back attitude towards less-than-perfect tattoos, suggesting, “I think bad tattoos are a part of life… Who gives a s–t? It’s not going to keep you up at night,” and shared that she is always on the lookout for the perfect lower back tattoo.

Bridgers is gearing up for a busy schedule, starting with her album tour, The Lost Tour, launching this Thursday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
