This bizarre French customer habit is driving shop owners crazy
After Taylor Swift sported Fazit’s Glitter Freckles at a 2024 Chiefs game—sending the stick-on facial gems into viral territory—the brand has introduced a new item made specifically for dogs: Pet Patches.
Promoted as the “first makeup for fur,” these temporary tattoo-like stickers attach to fur in seconds. They’re marketed to withstand up to a week of pet life—think lots of belly rubs, sips from the water bowl and energetic zoomies—but they’re easy to lift off using conditioner and a comb.

Co-founder Nina LaBruna said the idea came to her after seeing pet owners decorate their animals with stickers and rhinestones and thinking there must be a simpler, safer option, according to New Beauty.

The company says the decals are formulated to be pet-safe and non-toxic, with that claim backed by an independent veterinary professional’s assessment.
They’re available in silver, gold and mixed-color sets, so owners can choose a look that matches their dog’s personality. With holidays like Halloween on the horizon, these patches could be an easy way to give pets a festive touch—particularly dogs who don’t tolerate full costumes.

Celebrity interest has already followed: Khloé Kardashian posted an Instagram Story showing her black Labrador, Peppermint, with pastel patches on her ears.

Given how many stars have embraced Fazit’s human freckles, it’s likely more famous pups will be seen sporting the pet-friendly versions soon.
Fazit surged into the spotlight after the Swift moment—reportedly generating $1 million in sales within 48 hours of her wearing the freckles—and its patches have also been seen on figures like Kacey Musgraves, Rita Ora and Lisa.
Now the brand is branching out to animal companions.
