At one of the final dates of her 2026 residency, Dion turned heads in a couture gown that nodded to the red carpet look she wore to the Oscars in 1997.
The dress was a custom Chanel piece by Matthieu Blazy, built with a strapless sweetheart neckline and a corset-style bodice. The silhouette cinched at the waist, flared over the hips and flowed into a silk skirt with a high slit down the front.

Its surface was encrusted with glass crystal rhinestones, seed beads and glass beads — densely clustered at the bodice and gradually thinning toward the hips, evoking the image of stars cascading from the night sky.
Vogue reported that the gown contained 6,000 jewels and 5,000 beads and took the house couturiers about 1,380 hours to complete.
The neckline also included navy raffia trim crafted with a tinsel-like finish.
Dion, 58, also reimagined the necklace, opting for Chanel’s diamond and white-gold Fil de Comète design, which features a shooting-star motif left open at the front.

The recreated comet necklace was set with an astonishing 1,080 diamonds, totaling more than 67 carats.
Back in 1997, Dion wore a similar Chanel gown designed by Karl Lagerfeld, though that sleeker dress had a plunging neckline.
That same Oscars night she made history as the first performer to sing two songs during the broadcast — she had prepared “Because You Loved Me,” but stepped in at the last minute to perform a second number after Natalie Cole fell ill.
Dion has two shows left this weekend — Friday and Saturday nights — before she pauses her residency until May.
