Sydney Sweeney Stuns in Corset and Sheer Lace at ‘Christy’ Premiere, BFI London Film Fest

Sydney Sweeney dazzled again on her promotional tour for the women-led boxing film “Christy,” appearing at the BFI London Film Festival in a soft pink gown by Alexander McQueen.

The ensemble, styled by Molly Dickson, was perfectly adjusted to fit Sweeney’s 5’3″ stature, featuring a sequined lace neckline and a gracefully flowing skirt with a ruffled edge.

The gown’s structure included a corset-like bodice made of muted pink satin with boning and gathered bust details. The lace of the skirt was artfully pleated at the back, enhancing the dress’s dynamic movement as Sweeney graced the red carpet.

This marks the actress’s second appearance in light pink; she previously wore a bespoke Erdem gown in a similar hue at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of “Christy” in early September.

Earlier in the month, Sweeney chose a vintage Thierry Mugler tutu dress that seemed more at home in a ballet than in a boxing ring. The outfit from the 1990s included a short suit jacket with spiraled lapels over a deep-cut neckline and a bustier with a basque waist. It was complemented by a white miniskirt under a structured, sheer tutu adorned with bows at the hips.

Her London attire reflects a synthesis of her recent red carpet looks, with corsets remaining a staple. Sweeney’s impressive figure, particularly her well-defined legs, is becoming a frequent highlight, showcased in outfits with shorter lengths and translucent fabrics.

It’s noteworthy that Sweeney added 30 pounds of muscle for her role in just three and a half months. “I did weight training in the morning for an hour, practiced kickboxing for two hours midday, and then ended with another hour of weight training in the evening,” she shared with W magazine in a special summer edition.

It’s no surprise she’s keen to display her toned legs.

For her 28th birthday celebration last month, Sweeney emulated another icon, donning a metallic silver mini dress by The Blonds from their Spring/Summer 2009 line, famously worn by Britney Spears during her Circus album promotions nearly two decades earlier.

Whatever role Sweeney tackles next, it’s clear she’ll approach it with her distinctively glamorous flair—and perhaps a splash of pink.
