Discover the ultra-trendy physical activity that Karine Le Marchand engages in (almost) every day to stay fit and keep in shape.

Approaching 57 years old, Karine Le Marchand impresses with her sculpted legs, flat stomach, and graceful demeanor that seems to defy aging. Her secret? She’s dedicated to a sport that’s gaining widespread popularity.

Karine Le Marchand revealed her enthusiasm for fitness a few years ago at the women-only event La Parisienne: “I really got into it when I quit smoking at 30. To counteract the constant craving, I needed to shock my body with something else. So, I took up sports. Joining a gym really helped me.” Often traveling for the show L’Amour est dans le Pré, she needed an alternative to the gym and quickly turned to running. “I bought a good pair of sneakers and started running on the country roads. I’ve seen some beautiful landscapes,” she added. Despite her busy schedule as a TV host, the fifty-something makes no compromises when it comes to her running routine, admitting to practicing this sport daily: “There’s no way I’m skipping a week of exercise.

The TV personality, who completed the Paris Marathon in just 4 hours and 24 minutes, finds this high-impact sport a delightful way to indulge while staying slim. “Basically, I have two addictions that balance each other out: running and chocolate. Running daily for between 1 hour and 15 minutes to 2 hours allows me to have my daily dose of chocolate. I still eat about 100 to 200 grams per day,” she shared with journalist Clarisse Nénard. And for good reason: running at a slow pace for an hour burns at least 400 calories.

Beyond burning calories, boosting metabolism, and developing the muscular chain of the lower limbs, running also serves as a mental cleanse for Karine Le Marchand: “It helps me make a lot of decisions, solve quite a few problems, and overcome some stress as well,” she explained. This insight might just inspire others to start running too!
