At first glance, it looked like just another casual street interview. But within hours of going online, the clip had viewers unsettled, sparking theories about sorcery, simulations, and the future of artificial intelligence.

The Strange Exchange
Street interviews—or “man-on-the-street” videos—are everywhere on social media. Usually, they’re harmless fun: quick questions, quirky answers, and lighthearted entertainment. But one recent clip stood out for all the wrong reasons.
In the footage, a man with a microphone approaches two women who appear to be leaving a nightclub. He asks: “What’s the AI trend that drives haters crazy every time?”
The reply is bizarre. One of the women rambles incoherently: “You gotta give them this, it’s crazy, it’s over! We’re cooked! You understand me?” Her answer doesn’t make sense—and yet it sent shivers down the spines of millions.
“Straight Out of Inception”

The unsettling tone of the video drew instant comparisons to Christopher Nolan’s Inception, with some users insisting the scene felt like a glitch in reality. One person wrote: “This is proof we’re living in a multidimensional simulation.” Another called it “witchcraft.” Others simply asked: “How is this even possible?”
The AI Behind the Illusion

The truth made the video even more unnerving. It wasn’t real at all. The entire interview had been generated by artificial intelligence, using Google’s Veo 3, a next-generation video generator launched in May 2025.
According to Google, Veo 3 can create videos from text prompts and images, complete with dialogues, voiceovers, sound effects, and even music. In other words, the women in the viral clip never existed.
Reactions of Awe—and Fear
The fake interview has been viewed more than 14 million times on X (formerly Twitter), with many viewers stunned by how real it looked. Some called it the most convincing AI video they had ever seen. Others were far less enthusiastic.
“It’s over for humanity,” one user wrote. Another added: “Soon, no one will know what’s real or fake anymore.”
Still, not everyone was convinced. A few pointed out that the odd, disjointed dialogue gave away its artificial origins. “Nobody talks like that,” one commenter argued.
The Bigger Picture
As tools like Veo 3 get more advanced, the line between authentic footage and synthetic content will only get blurrier. For some, this opens exciting creative possibilities. For others, it signals a future where trust in video evidence could vanish completely.
Whether you find it fascinating or terrifying, one thing is certain: this so-called street interview isn’t just a viral curiosity—it’s a glimpse of a digital future where reality itself can be manufactured with a prompt.
