At the 2025 SXSW premiere of “Another Simple Favor,” Blake Lively made a splash on the red carpet, playfully toting a cocktail-themed accessory.

The 37-year-old actress graced the event in Austin, Texas, to promote the eagerly awaited follow-up to 2018’s “A Simple Favor,” in which she co-starred with Anna Kendrick.
For the occasion, Lively dazzled in a pink latex two-piece designed by Renée Massoomian, featuring a retro vibe and a shiny vinyl cardigan.
Lively changed her outfit for a photo session later that day, opting for a sparkling peach ensemble and a Judith Leiber clutch shaped like a martini glass, priced at $5,795. This accessory was a nod to her character Emily Nelson’s favorite drink.
In “A Simple Favor,” Nelson shares her unique recipe for a “real martini,” which includes a chilled martini glass and gin, vermouth deliberately spilled on the floor, and a crucial lemon twist, strictly with no ice allowed.
The crystal-encrusted clutch mirrored the film’s notable cocktail, adorned with crystals of various sizes and topped with a yellow lemon slice made of crystals.
The cocktail holds personal significance for Lively as well; the original film aligned with a promotional campaign for her husband Ryan Reynolds’ Aviation Gin. This sequel, however, features director Paul Fieg’s brand of liquor securing exclusive promotion rights.
Lively has a penchant for thematic dress corresponding to her film roles. Most notably, during the press tour for “It Ends with Us,” where she played florist Lily Bloom, Lively wore outfits lavished with floral motifs.
Her wardrobe included $19,000 Valentino jeans with floral cutouts and a rainbow-colored Versace dress previously worn by Britney Spears, showcasing her floral theme for several months.
Lively continued her trend of dressing in character when she paused her “It Ends With Us” promotions to attend the premiere of her husband’s film, “Deadpool & Wolverine.” She appeared in a red Versace catsuit echoing Reynolds’ Deadpool costume, while her close friend Gigi Hadid dressed in tribute to Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine character with a yellow Miu Miu outfit.
The thematic dressing didn’t stop at the premiere; for the afterparty, Lively wore a blue-and-red Balmain mini dress embellished with, naturally, flowers.
Previously, Lively had been seen exclusively in bold pantsuits while promoting “A Simple Favor,” setting a precedent for her commitment to thematic dressing.
We can expect Lively to bring the same level of dedication to her wardrobe for this sequel as well.
