Blue Ivy Carter was introduced to the global audience before she was even born.

During the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, her mother, Beyoncé, famously revealed her pregnancy after performing “Love on Top.” The audience, including her father Jay-Z, celebrated joyously.

Now at 12, Blue Ivy has already won a Grammy and joined her mother on stage during tour performances.

This week, she dazzled on the red carpet wearing a grand gold dress by the famed designer Christian Siriano at the Disney movie premiere of “Mufasa,” where she voices Kiara, Simba and Nala’s daughter — the latter voiced by Beyoncé herself.

Siriano shared numerous images from the premiere on Instagram, exclaiming, “The Stunninggggg #BLUEIVYCARTER in custom Siriano tonight looking more gilded and glamorous than ever!”

A comment on the post read, “Very pretty, but she’s only 12? It seems too mature for a child. Her mom would have looked great in it.”

Another replied, “It’s Hollywood, every step this young girl takes will be scrutinized! This isn’t your average 12-year-old, guys!”

Indeed, we are witnessing a surge of so-called nepo-baby influencers — famous children with their own agents, skincare lines, clothing brands, and other ventures, all before reaching adulthood.

Just recently, amidst mixed reactions online, Hilaria Baldwin announced that she and her 11-year-old daughter Carmen, with Alec Baldwin, are entering the tween skincare market with a book titled “Glowing Up: Recipes to rock your natural beauty.”

The mother-daughter duo posed in matching robes for a photo, and a morning TV show has already booked the sixth grader to offer beauty tips. Carmen is also set to appear in her family’s new reality show, ‘The Baldwins,’ on TLC next year.

Then there’s North West, daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. The 11-year-old has performed onstage with her father, manages a TikTok account with nearly 20 million followers with her mom, and was featured on the cover of Interview magazine, interviewed by her mother inside.

“These kids are starting from a privileged position, so they have unlimited opportunities,” commented a notable fashion insider.

“Being famous as a nepo-baby is one thing, but transforming into a brand and moving merchandise like top influencers is still up in the air,” said Rachel Richardson, editor of the Highly Flammable trend newsletter. “However, they have plenty of examples to follow, like Paris Hilton and Sofia Richie, who built empires from their familial fame.”

However, these individuals were adults when they began their careers in “The Simple Life” in 2003. Today, celebrity children are entering the scene younger than ever, including unexpected star offspring.

Nicole Kidman’s daughters, largely raised out of the spotlight in Nashville, are now stepping into it. Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 13, both shared with her husband Keith Urban, are making waves in the fashion world. Sunday recently debuted on the Paris runway for Miu Miu and did an interview with Vogue just before.

Kidman, 57, told The Hollywood Reporter, “It’s all her initiative. I was hesitant at first.”

The actress emphasized the global upbringing of her daughters, saying, “You are of the world, you’re global children. We travel, experience different cultures. That’s a valuable education too.”

Sunday, in a behind-the-scenes Vogue video, advised newcomers, “Don’t stress too much, I was really stressed but everyone here is really nice.”

However, Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour has decided not to feature models under 18 following allegations against photographers Bruce Weber and Mario Testino in 2018 (both denied the charges). “Vogue didn’t feature Kaia Gerber until she was 18,” noted the fashion insider. Gerber began modeling at 10 for Young Versace.

Richardson remarked that many new influencers aim to be known for something aspirational, such as fashion or wellness. “Those like North West, who already have a following on platforms like TikTok, are likely to succeed. She’s a natural on the platform,” Richardson added.

North West, we’ve learned, does not have a manager yet, though she debuted in Vogue in 2014 as a baby with her parents, captured by Annie Leibovitz. She’s described as highly creative, like her father, with whom she performed in Korea recently.

She also showed passion in her role as Simba during the “Disney’s ‘The Lion King’ 30th Anniversary – A Live-to-Film Concert Event” at the Hollywood Bowl.

Meanwhile, Carmen Baldwin is also diving into projects, with her mother Hilaria announcing a book on skincare and self-care aimed at young girls, which stirred mixed reactions online.

Blue Ivy, at just 9, became the youngest Grammy winner in history for “Brown Skin Girl,” a track she co-wrote for the album “Lion King: The Gift” by Beyoncé.

Compared to Blue Ivy, Apple and Moses Martin, children of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, might seem like late bloomers. Apple, 20, recently debuted at Le Bal in Paris, while Moses, 18, is performing with his band while attending Brown.

Even in the exclusive realm of Hollywood, some insiders emphasize the importance of recognizing these industrious youngsters for what they truly are: children.

“People forget these kids are still in school — most of them — and they’re at an age where classmates discuss what they see online. Parents must be responsible,” said a high-profile industry source. “I just hope this is truly what the kids want.”
