Celebration in the City: Knicks Parade Draws Star-Studded Crowd

The streets of Lower Manhattan were awash in a sea of orange and blue as celebrity Knicks fans turned out in full force to celebrate with a ticker-tape parade.

This Thursday, the parade saw a gathering of the team’s most famous supporters, who didn’t hold back in showing their spirit through an array of custom and designer outfits.

Television star Mariska Hargitay was seen sporting vibrant orange trousers paired with a T-shirt that read “Brilliant Thing #11 The Knicks,” linking back to her Broadway production “Every Brilliant Thing.” Her son complemented her outfit with a tailor-made “Marknicksa Hargitay” shirt in the team colors. Lifestyle guru Martha Stewart was caught up in the wordplay with a “Knick of Time” T-shirt, clearly taking a page from Taylor Swift’s playbook.

High Fashion Meets Courtside Style

The fashion elite made their presence felt as well. Timothée Chalamet was spotted in an orange hoodie by Los Angeles-based brand Chrome Hearts, keeping true to his recent fashion choices. Singer Teyana Taylor made a bold statement with a white jumpsuit adorned with logos, topped off with a striking orange wig. Taylor also flaunted a parade-day essential: a $35,000 Hermès Birkin bag featuring bright blue and rust orange designs.

Rama Duwaji, New York City’s first lady, showed her support in a bespoke one-shoulder dress by Miss Claire Sullivan, ingeniously crafted from bootleg NBA Finals T-shirts.

The cutest attire arguably belonged to Jordyn James, daughter of Finals MVP Jalen Brunson. She wore a tank top proclaiming “My Dad’s The MVP, Hallelujah” and sported pink baby headphones. Jalen’s wife, Ali Brunson, opted for simplicity with a Knicks #11 tank top, as she joined her daughter on the family float.

Accessories and Attire: A Winning Combination

Jordyn Woods, engaged to Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns, brought the “it” accessory of the season: her orange ostrich Tux Clutch Mini from her own line, Woods by Jordyn. Dubbed the “lucky bag” during the Knicks’ victorious run, she paired it with Towns’ #32 jersey, white jeans, and a custom diamond Knicks pendant by Alex Moss.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani didn’t miss the chance to be part of the action, posing with the iconic bag during the parade.

Singer Mary J. Blige chose to go luxurious in a white leather romper emblazoned with her initials and Knicks championship patches, complemented by diamond chains. Actress Lindsay Lohan, although not present, showed her support by displaying a custom “Lohan 86” jersey on Instagram.

The parade concluded with a memorable performance by Alicia Keys at City Hall, where she took the stage in a black leather Pelle Pelle jacket and matching pants to perform her iconic song “Empire State of Mind.”
