The long-awaited first trailer for “The Devil Wears Prada 2” has finally been released.

After keeping up with the stylish developments during the film’s production, audiences now have their first glimpse at the actual movie.

The preview starts with a shot of shiny red Valentino Rockstud heels striding through an office, interspersed with scenes of a fashion show being set up.

A detailed shot of a mesh corset and large hoop earrings appears; then a champagne bottle is uncorked…

These stylish shoes, as it turns out, are worn by none other than Miranda Priestley.

She makes an entrance into the Runway magazine elevator dressed in a black and white houndstooth plaid skirt and a black blouse, accented with a red patent belt and—naturally—her iconic sunglasses. Just as the elevator doors are about to close, they reopen.

Entering the elevator is Andy Sachs, radiating high-fashion elegance, clad in a vintage Jean Paul Gaultier pinstriped vest and trousers, accessorized with pieces from Natasha Schweitzer and Jemma Wynne.

The legendary Runway editor acknowledges Sachs with a pointed comment, “Took you long enough,” says Priestley.

As the elevator doors shut, Sachs dons a pair of black sunglasses similar to Priestley’s, signaling a possible shift in power dynamics.

The trailer echoes a memorable scene from the original film where Priestley is first introduced stepping out of her car in red Alaïa heels, walking into the lobby, and entering an elevator which everyone hastily exits to give her space.

Today, on her 43rd birthday, Anne Hathaway was the first to share the trailer.

“A gift for everyone #43 #DWP2,” she captioned her post.

With the premiere set for May 1, 2026, still nearly six months out—and just days before the Met Gala—the anticipation for a total “Devil Wears Prada” takeover is officially underway.
