On Tuesday, the celebrity entrepreneur unveiled her latest project: a new brand developed in partnership with Nike, dubbed NikeSkims.
The venture is launched under the slogan “Designed to Sculpt; Engineered to Perform” and aims to expand the athletic and sportswear scene. A press release revealed that the collaboration would offer “an extensive product line that welcomes more athletes and women to embrace sport and movement.”
NikeSkims to Roll Out Globally
The initial lineup from NikeSkims, which includes clothing, shoes, and accessories, is set to launch in the United States this spring, with plans to expand worldwide by 2026.
“Both Nike and Skims are rooted in innovation, inclusivity, and a passion for breaking new ground, powered by a firm belief in the potential of women,” Kardashian, aged 44, commented in a press release. She described the alliance as “the realization of our shared vision, presenting products that are carefully crafted to sculpt and perform for every body type.”
Heidi O’Neill, President of Consumer, Product & Brand at Nike, expressed excitement about the new brand, stating, “We’re thrilled by the chance to establish a new brand and revolutionize the industry for upcoming generations of athletes with NikeSKIMS.”
O’Neill described the collaboration as combining “the best of both brands,” aiming to “shake up the industry” and “welcome more athletes to sport and movement with products that make them feel powerful and attractive.”
Though Kardashian has previously melded Skims with high-fashion through capsule collections with luxury brands like Dolce & Gabbana and Fendi, this marks her first venture in transitioning Skims into a standalone new brand.
Kim Kardashian’s Continued Advocacy for Women in Sports
Kardashian has also been active in promoting female athletes. In May 2024, she enlisted WNBA stars such as Candace Parker, Dijonai Carrington, Kelsey Plum, Skylar Diggins-Smith, and Cameron Brink to feature in her brand’s lingerie campaign, which announced her partnership with the league.
Announcing the collaboration on Instagram, Skims stated, “As the official underwear of the @WNBA, Skims offers unparalleled comfort,” alongside a video showcasing the basketball professionals in various shades of the brand’s “Fits Everybody” collection.
Highlighting the importance of supporting women and female athletes, Kardashian noted in a press release, “Championing women and women in sports is incredibly important to Skims.”
