Throughout the debut season of her new Hulu show, “All’s Fair,” Kardashian has been actively posting wardrobe insights and designer collaborations on her TikTok and Instagram accounts.
This past Sunday, Kardashian showcased a series of Instagram photos featuring herself in a delicate pale pink silk kimono edged with deep chocolate brown trim.
The outfit was highlighted by a traditional broad sash, or obi, embellished with the initials “AG” in rhinestones, representing her character on “All’s Fair,” lawyer Allura Grant.
Kardashian’s Glittering Ensemble
Accessorizing with brown satin Giuseppe Zanotti Ludhhovica 105 heels, Kardashian’s look was completed with a lavish diamond necklace and matching earrings.
The Instagram post included various images: close-ups of Kardashian, group shots with her glam squad, and pictures with Ryan Murphy, the creator and executive producer of “All’s Fair.”
Additionally, Kardashian posted behind-the-scenes photos of the custom kimono being made, revealing a special tag inside that read “KIMono by Milligan,” hand-stitched by the garment’s designer, Milligan Beaumont, a versatile artist and stylist.
From “Kimono” Controversy to Skims Success
Before her Skims brand became widely recognized, Kardashian initially named her shapewear line “Kimono,” linking the name to both her own name and the traditional Japanese garment. The branding choice soon sparked intense online backlash over cultural appropriation, leading to the brand being renamed Skims.
Since the renaming, Skims has grown into a global multi-billion-dollar enterprise.
Following her recent Instagram post, Kardashian’s fans were quick to draw connections and comment, with reactions ranging from supportive jokes about the appropriateness of the name “Kimono” this time around, to clever remarks about the potential original name for Skims.
As Kardashian’s portrayal of Allura Grant continues to unfold, her fans certainly hope the character faces no such controversies.
