Everyone loves more Margot Robbie.

For a fresh Chanel 25 handbag campaign, the star of “Barbie” collaborated with Kylie Minogue, revisiting Minogue’s 2002 music video for “Come Into My World.” The campaign was directed by Michel Gondry, the original video’s director, who returned to helm this creative endeavor.

The advertisement features multiple Robbies strolling through a set designed to mimic a lively Parisian street, each clone showcasing a different color and size of the Chanel 25 bag.

As the video unfolds, new iterations of Robbie continue to appear, a nod to the technique used in Minogue’s original video.

While the 2002 production took place at a real Parisian crossroad, this Chanel remake opts for a Los Angeles soundstage and adjusts a few scenic details—substituting a laundromat with a bookstore, though the fundamental concept remains intact.

Throughout the campaign, Robbie is seen petting a dog, maneuvering a bicycle, and greeting Minogue, who makes a cameo in a pink outfit from a window above, reminiscent of her attire in the original video.

Robbie expressed her admiration for the original video in an interview with Vogue, recalling how the in-camera effects that Gondry is renowned for left a significant impact on her as a child.

The collaboration has been long-awaited. Both Robbie and Minogue began their entertainment careers on the Australian soap opera “Neighbours,” with Minogue in the late 1980s and Robbie following about twenty years later. Robbie’s first-ever concert attendance was Minogue’s Fever tour in Sydney, which featured “Come Into My World” as a standout performance.

In 2023, Minogue even expressed her desire for Robbie to play her in a potential biopic. This campaign might be the closest realization of that idea, though Robbie humorously remarked to Vogue that she was relieved the job didn’t involve any singing.

“I can’t sing,” Robbie confessed. “So I’m channeling Kylie without having to sing and spoil it for everyone.”

Minogue shared with French content creator Lyas that the project felt like a seamless continuation of the original music video’s theme. She remarked, “For me, it extends the cyclical nature of the video. I know Michel drew inspiration from the song’s repetitive elements, so here we are, bringing another cycle to life.”

Since becoming a Chanel brand ambassador in 2018, Robbie, alongside Minogue, was spotted at the front row of Chanel’s Fall 2026 show during Paris Fashion Week earlier this month—a precursor hinting at their forthcoming collaboration.
