After much anticipation, the erotic thriller “Babygirl” from A24 is now available for streaming.
Following its premiere at the Venice Film Festival last year, the film quickly rose to become one of the studio’s top ten highest earners and has garnered a Golden Globe nomination for Nicole Kidman for her role as the lead.
So grab your popcorn (and maybe a glass of milk) and continue reading for all the details on how you can watch this sultry movie from the comfort of your home.
How to Stream “Babygirl”
As of April 25, you can stream “Babygirl” on Max. New subscribers can link this HBO-owned service to their Amazon Prime account for only $9.99 a month.
HBO will also be broadcasting “Babygirl” live on April 26 at 8 p.m. ET, so you can watch it through a live streaming service that offers Max as an add-on, such as Fubo or Hulu + Live TV.
The film is also available on Prime Video for rental or purchase at $5.99 and $19.99, respectively.
The Plot of “Babygirl”
“Babygirl,” directed and written by Halina Reijn, features Nicole Kidman as Romy, a high-powered tech CEO who starts a daring affair with Samuel, a 28-year-old intern at her company, portrayed by Harris Dickinson.
Kidman discussed the film’s bold scenes in a cover story with The Hollywood Reporter last year, noting, “Women often get overlooked as sexual beings at a certain stage in their careers. It was really beautiful to be portrayed in this manner.”
Cast of “Babygirl”
The film stars Nicole Kidman and Harris Dickinson in lead roles, with Antonio Banderas playing Romy’s husband. Sophie Wilde, Esther Rose McGregor, and Vaughan Reilly also star as Esme, Isabel, and Nora respectively.
In an interview with Variety last year, Dickinson praised Kidman as a co-star, describing her as the most comforting and warm performer to work with. “She really sets the tone on set and makes it easy to be vulnerable and to have fun since she herself is so bold,” he said.
