“French beauty seems effortless,” claims Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu in a recent video on Vogue’s YouTube channel. The actress is an expert in the chic, effortless look that Parisians are famed for.
The secret to her fresh and radiant complexion, a signature for her character Sylvie in the show Emily in Paris, lies in a very simple skincare routine. She starts by spritzing her face with Dr. Hertzog’s Beauty Water to “give the skin a fresh, rosy color,” followed by applying Noble Panacea’s Intense Renewal Serum. She then uses the same brand’s eye contour and anti-aging cream. Beyond external care, the 61-year-old star mentions that she boosts her skin’s beauty from the inside by engaging in three-day fasts, grape cures, and long nature walks to look even more radiant.
When it comes to makeup, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu reveals that she hasn’t kept anything from her character Sylvie Grateau. What she has retained from filming are the makeup tips from makeup artist Fred Marin which she uses daily. To tackle her under-eye circles, she blends two shades of Lancôme’s Teint Idole Ultra Wear Care & Glow concealer. She then applies Rose Inc blush with her fingers, not only on the apples of her cheeks but also lightly across her eyelids. To enhance her eyes in just a few seconds, the French actress dabs on some Victoria Beckham gloss, “which adds a wet-look effect” to her eyelid.
“Working on the eyebrows is quite important,” she explains while brushing them with Anastasia Beverly Hills gel. A fan of “slightly satiny products with a hint of color” for her lips, she finishes her beauty look with Lancôme’s Lip Idôle Squalane-12 Butterglow.
