The expert pinpoints this “golden window” between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. During the early part of the night, deep sleep is more prevalent than it is towards the morning. This type of sleep is incredibly restorative. This is why it’s commonly advised that “sleep before midnight counts double.” Missing this critical period can accelerate skin aging by hindering the nighttime repair processes, which include collagen production and internal cleansing, slowing down metabolism, and the build-up of toxins.
Beyond sleep, Tiphaine Lamblin advises avoiding heavy meals in the evening and cutting out screen time before bed to promote better sleep. Together, these simple lifestyle changes form a powerful natural anti-aging routine, far surpassing any cream.
