On one hand, there’s the desire to indulge; on the other, a quiet voice inside reminding you that these fried potatoes don’t exactly fit the bill of a health food. Indeed, among dietary experts, chips carry a somewhat notorious reputation. Surprisingly, the top-rated ones aren’t always the most expensive… Selling for about 60 cents per pack, this store-brand product scores a respectable 75/100 on the Yuka app. Its main advantage? A simple, minimal ingredient list without controversial additives: corn flour, sunflower oil, and salt. But where can you find this hidden gem? Look no further than Auchan’s chip aisle where you’ll find their “Tortilla Nature” pack.
Of course, all these points don’t mean you should devour the entire bag in one go (especially if you’re watching your weight). These tortillas are still quite high in calories, with 472 kcal per 100g. Potato lovers might also miss the classic chip flavor in these crunchy corn triangles. However, they can at least dip them in guacamole with a bit more peace of mind… and without breaking the bank!
