Tyler Cameron recently discussed the backlash he received after he uploaded screenshots of a text argument with his girlfriend Tate Madden to Instagram.

“I got hammered for that,” the “Bachelorette” veteran, aged 31, shared with Page Six at the Celsius Padel Classic, held at Wayne Boich’s Miami padel club during Art Basel on a Friday.

Cameron mentioned he found it amusing to post the uneasy conversation to his 2.2 million Instagram followers, only to discover Madden did not find it funny at all.

“I ended up paying for it, and I definitely learned my lesson,” he remarked. “Some jokes are better kept private.”

As previously reported by Page Six, Cameron uploaded a text exchange where Madden chided him for going out to get ice cream without her.

“Are you mad again?” he texted, with her response being, “I just can’t figure out why you never want to have fun with me. Let’s just go to riverside. Have a good night.”

His reply was, “We’re just getting ice cream, are you serious? Is this supposed to be a fun moment?”

He then captioned the post, “Never go out for a sweet treat without your girlfriend… lesson learned.”

Followers quickly criticized Cameron for exposing their private issues, and he clearly felt the consequences as he later posted a picture of himself sleeping on the sofa.

When asked how he made amends, Cameron said, “In many ways. A lot more trips for ice cream.”

The host of “Going Home with Tyler Cameron” confessed that he enjoys sharing aspects of his life publicly.

“I like to keep it fun and open. It doesn’t bother me,” he stated.

Even so, he acknowledged that having his dating life under scrutiny is challenging, particularly when he and Madden had not yet gone public with their relationship.

“[Tate] found it tough when the entire world was unsure about what we were, even though we knew,” he explained. “After we became official, things felt much more comfortable.”

Cameron has been in several high-profile relationships, including his time vying for Hannah Brown’s affection on Season 15 of “The Bachelorette” and a brief stint with Gigi Hadid. He appreciated the privacy he and Madden enjoyed during their year-plus of dating before acknowledging their relationship in October.

“Being open now and being together feels great,” he told us. “Building a solid foundation was essential for us, something that’s tough to achieve without privacy.”

Cameron still believes in the possibility of finding love on reality shows like the ABC dating franchise.

“The show can be genuine because it puts you through unique experiences that can bring people closer,” he observed. “The challenge is keeping that connection alive after the cameras stop rolling.”

Reflecting on relationships born on television, he added, “When you meet someone in a normal setting, away from the TV drama, it feels more sustainable and natural.”

Cameron also participated in the Celsius Padel Classic alongside celebrities like Diplo, Brooks Nader, Dwight Howard, Taylor Hill, Cindy Prado, Jason Tartick, and Josh Richards.

The event was won by the DJ duo Two Friends, attracting notable attendees such as Georgia Hassarati, Jason Oppenheim, Jesse Metcalfe, Batsheva Haart, Dale Moss, Peter Weber, Melissa Gorga, and others.
