The show, “Sterling Point,” made its debut on the streaming platform today, August 5, receiving enthusiastic reviews from critics.
This fresh coming-of-age series centers around 17-year-old Annie (played by Ella Rubin), who, along with her twin brother, is brought up by their adoptive dad in New York City. A twist in her story emerges when she inherits a mysterious island in Canada from her grandfather. The new location brings friendships, romantic interests, and hidden family lore into Annie’s life.
The creator behind “Sterling Point,” Megan Park, has a rich background in teen dramas, having acted in “The Secret Life of the American Teenager.” She is also at the helm of the upcoming 2024 film “My Old Ass.” Park shares showrunner duties with Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, notable for their work on teen drama hits like “The O.C.,” “Gossip Girl,” and “The Carrie Diaries.”
