Today, July 31, a prequel episode of “Adults” will be available on FXX and Hulu, setting the stage for the season premiere on August 27.
The episode, titled “Marathon Day,” delves into a question left unanswered in Season 1: the backstory of Paul Baker (Jack Innanen).
Since the outset, it’s been evident that Billie (Lucy Freyer), Samir (Malik Elassal), Anton (Owen Thiele), and Issa (Amita Rao) have a longstanding friendship. Paul Baker, Issa’s boyfriend, is the more recent addition to their circle.
“Marathon Day” focuses on Paul Baker’s backstory, exploring how he first connected with the group.
“We’re thrilled to explore the origins of this friendship,” said Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw, the creators of the series, in a press release. “Everyone loves a good backstory, and we’re excited to reveal how Paul Baker came into the picture.”
