Beyond the awards show, BritBox is your ultimate portal to a variety of British films and series, including hits like “Luther” and “Downton Abbey.”
2025 BAFTAs Host
David Tennant, famed for his role in “Doctor Who,” will host the event for the second consecutive year.
Tennant recently shared with The Hollywood Reporter that this year’s competition seems particularly unpredictable. “It’s quite hard to know who the runners and riders are,” he said, adding that Britain is buzzing as a center of production.
2025 BAFTA Nominees
Leading the nominations is “Conclave” with 12 nods, closely followed by “Emilia Pérez” with 11. “Wicked” also stands a good chance with seven nominations, and Jeff Goldblum is expected to perform during the event.
Notable attendees according to the seating arrangement include Ariana Grande, Colman Domingo, and Timothée Chalamet—who is nominated for his roles in “A Complete Unknown” and “Dune: Part Two.”
Despite Prince William’s role as president of the British Academy of Film and Television, he and Kate Middleton are confirmed not to be attending this year, as reported by People via Kensington Palace.
