Maddie and Tae Are Raising Money for the Families of Dead Texas Hunters – Laura Klonowski
US Country Music duo Maddie and Tae are helping to raise money for the bereaved families of three Texas duck hunters who were found dead along the Gulf Coast last weekend.
The three hunters; Starett Burke, Spencer Hall and Chris Ruckman launched their boat at around 4am last Friday near Palacios, according to officials.
All three men were reported missing when they failed to return by evening and Ruckman’s girlfriend contacted the Coast Guard.
And now ‘Girl in A Country Song’ hitmakers Maddie and Tae have announced that they will be performing at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo this February in a bid to raise money for the hunters’ devastated families.
Speaking to KHOU keen duck hunter Maddie Marlow spoke out as to why the story caught her and Tae’s attention: “Me and my dad, we went duck hunting on Christmas Eve. It could have been anyone of us. All they were doing is something they loved, they’re making memories and a tragedy comes of that and it’s heartbreaking.
Maddie is also auctioning off signed guitars and tickets to the Duos upcoming Houston concert.
