Takeover Tuesday – Emma Jade Garbutt

Takeover Tuesday is back, and this week we have UK country artist Emma Jade Garbutt taking control. I absolutely love this song! Margo is such an incredible artist, I love that she says exactly what she thinks and stands up for what she believes in. Her music makes me believe in the future of country music, she motivates me to continue being exactly the kind of artist I want to be. This song highlights exactly why it’s hard to be a woman in country music at the moment.

Lori McKenna is one of my favourite writers in country music, this song is so beautiful. I love that this song delves into a topic that as a society we don’t necessarily discuss. Lori’s writing style is so real, we don’t tend to see writers creating such beautiful music these days and she’s definitely a breath of fresh air.

Sonia is probably my favourite up and coming artist! She has been for quite some time now, I had the absolute honour of supporting her whilst she was on tour over here and few years ago and I absolutely fell in love with her music. Another favourite is ‘Alabama’

I’m lucky enough to be working with the lovely Tim Prottey Jones on my debut EP and couldn’t be happier! This is my favourite song by The Wandering Hearts, they’ve making waves on the scene right now and I’m so glad! I love what they’re doing.
