12 Days of Christmas – Day 2!
Welcome to our new festive feature where the Belles and Gals team get together to bring you the highlights of their year. Today Craig Brooks (twitter.com/swindonforever) speaks about one of his favourite artists in 2018!
For my 12 days of Christmas entrant I knew straightaway I wanted to talk about the wonderful UK Country artist Rosey Cale who has had another year of quite frankly staggering improvement. I definitely recall very well when I first checked out her music and being really impressed with her voice and just instantly becoming a huge fan of her song writing style. Rosey didn’t stop there though and has continued to blow me away with how hard she works to develop as an artist, as strong as her voice has always been it’s nothing short of breathtaking now and she also has a real maturity in her song writing that goes way beyond her years. We were given a great example of this in 2018 when Rosey released the single ‘Whiskey Than Wine’, quite impressively also releasing a Welsh language version. The track was co-written with the Grammy winning Amy Wadge, raw, touching and beautiful lyrically as well as the soothing melody to go along with the gorgeous vocals from Rosey gives us one of the best country releases this year.
