12 Days of Christmas Day 8!

Welcome to our festive feature where the Belles and Gals team get together to bring you the highlights of their year. Today Emily Weall (twitter.com/emilyj_weall) shares her highlights of 2018!

I have many highlights of the year, the first one being that I am now a member of the Belles and Gals team!

But my other second main highlight was seeing Maren Morris a couple of weeks ago at Omeara, it was the most beautiful little venue, completely packed out with people there for the sheer love of Maren. Tickets sold out ridiculously quickly (I think it was 2 minutes) and Maren played the most acoustic amazing set, announced an upcoming UK gig that is going to be absolutely huge, and gave a heartbreaking speech about the events of Route 91 Festival, and a few weeks later Dear Hate was nominated for a Grammy, which it is absolutely deserved.

Also deserving a mention is Golden Hour from Kacey Musgraves. The second this album came out I was listening on repeat, and it quickly became my album of the year, and to see Kacey finally received not one, but 4 Grammy nominations, including album of the year, made this record something special and it definitely will not be coming off repeat any time soon!
