Hollie Shearer Releases Debut Single ‘Love You Better’

Today, Friday, May 1st, the ever-growing British country music scene welcomes another fresh voice into its family; Hollie Shearer is a rising country – pop tinged singer/songwriter hailing from Newcastle. Having spent time in Nashville honing her skills her debut release is a wonderful mix of modern country sounds that crossover beautifully into the soft pop realm.

Hollie first shared music back in January of this year in the form of her standout cover of the Will Young hit ‘Leave Right Now’, but as we begin May, the rising star has burst onto the scene with her gorgeous debut original single ‘Love You Better’. The track is the first to be dropped by the Geordie from her forthcoming EP which will be drip-fed every 4-5 weeks this year as she looks to build her listenership.

Speaking about her new release, and forthcoming EP project, Hollie Shearer says: “I’ve been writing/working on this song for so long I can’t quite believe that release day is here and I can finally share it with you all… What I love most about music is how you can connect with it, I love how it can help you emotionally through any mood you’re feeling. (Well, it does for me anyway!) Country music is a massive inspiration to me mostly because of how real and raw it is. I feel when something is written from the heart, people will automatically relate to it. This song is the first song from my EP, I have 4 more songs I’m releasing over the next couple of months and I really hope you like them!”
