Tenille Townes Announces New Single “Holding Out For The One”

Canadian born Tenille Townes is rightly gaining reputation for a deep thinking artist with a big heart and social conscience, demonstrated by her charitable work as well as on tracks such as “Somebody’s Daughter” and “Jersey On The Wall” from her recently released debut album “The Lemonade Stand” (Colombia Nashville). But there’s another side to this insanely talented lady, and her next single and album track “Holding Out For The One” shows her more flirtatious, hopeful side …as well as exposing her as a true romantic who will not give her heart away lightly on this upbeat slice of defiant country-pop. Townes, who has played across the UK & Europe on multiple tours, including her first ever sold-out headline show in London last year, said: “I’m so excited ‘Holding Out For The One’ is the next UK single! I hope this song makes people feel like they can stand on top of the world and be proud of where they stand. I had so much fun writing this song, and hearing the music around it come to life in the studio. I sure love playing this one live and can’t wait to come back to the UK as soon as I can to play it over there!

This single release is the latest announcement in what has been a truly phenomenal year for the now Nashville based Tenille. Her aforementioned Jay Joyce produced album was released in June to critical acclaim, she was recently announced as winning the ACM “New Female Artist Of The Year” award ahead of the ceremony which will air on 16th September where she is also nominated for “Musical Event Of The Year” for the all-female collaboration “Fooled Around and Fell In Love” (also nominated in the same category for November’s CMA’s) and she has garnered an amazing and unrivalled six nominations including “Entertainer Of The Year” at the Canadian Country Music Association Awards where she will perform on 27th September.  She is also featured in the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum’s new American Currents: State of the Music exhibit, and this Saturday Tenille has the honour of  stepping into the circle at the Opry once more to perform at their ACM Awards Show alongside Ashley McBryde and Riley Green
