Country to Country Festival Set to Return to the UK in March 2022

Country to Country Headliner Breakdown 2022

Europe’s biggest country music festival, Country to Country (C2C), is returning to UK shores on 11th-13th March 2022 following a two-year break as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. The festival enters its eighth year with events taking place at the O2 Arena London, 3Arena Dublin and The SSE Hydro in Glasgow. The long-awaited announcement of the return of the festival has been led to further excitement as the headliners for the three day festival have been released.

Next year’s festival features country superstar and Pistol Annies member Miranda Lambert alongside Luke Combs and Darius Rucker. Also performing are multiple CMA award winners and nominees Ashley McBryde, Runaway June and Hailey Whitters. The festival has also announced the return of the Introducing Nashville series, the CMA’s international touring series which aims to bring an authentic acoustic Nashville songwriter round to audiences outside of the USA. The lineup for the C2C Introducing Nashville series will be confirmed at a later date.

In addition to the headline event, the C2C spotlight stage returns to London and Glasgow featuring Tenille Townes and Callista Clark. The spotlight stage highlights some of the brightest new artists in between the main acts providing European fans the opportunity to enjoy the latest up and coming artists from the US. Previous performances from the spotlight stage have included Caylee Hammack, Gabby Barrett and Maren Morris.

In 2019, over 70,000 fans attended C2C displaying the UK’s insatiable appetite for the growing genre. Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer, says “C2C is a pillar in Country Music, not just to U.K. fans, but to the artist and industry community here in Nashville as well. With the loss of the 2020 and 2021 shows, CMA is especially excited to be partnering with C2C again this year. As Country Music continues to grow through touring and streaming in the U.K., it is tentpole events like C2C that act as catalysts for the genre and help carry Country Music forward.”

BBC Radio 2 will be the official broadcast partner for C2C 2021 with resident country broadcaster ‘Whispering’ Bob Harris OBE saying “I am so proud to be part of the C2C family and have watched the festival grow to become one of the most important and iconic events in the global Country Music calendar.  I can’t wait to listen to the best music in the world, enjoy the fantastic atmosphere of the main auditorium, catch the excitement of the pop-up stages and meet the incredible Country fans that make C2C so special.
