Lindsay Ell Teams Up With Chayce Beckham on Upcoming Single : “Can’t Do Without Me”

There’s been some stunning country duets recently… who can’t fail to have been moved by Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde’s performance of “Never Wanted To Be That Girl” at the CMA Awards… and next Monday, 29th November, sees the release of what looks set to be another incredible collaboration this time by Lindsay Ell and Chayce Beckham. Their supercharged, steamy duet Can’t Do Without Me” which is produced by Ross Copperman describes a couple’s long awaited reunion, with Chayce’s rough, gravelly vocal tones pairing perfectly with Lindsay’s bluesy, soulful voice… pre-save/pre-add here https://chaycebeckham.lnk.to/cantdowithoutme

While I am sure Lindsay will be very familiar to all of you, Chayce may need a bit of an introduction… the southern Californian is the latest winner of ABC’s American Idol and released his pensive, self-penned track “23” earlier this year which shot to the top of multiple viral charts, already racking up more than 22 million on-demand streams . The song is a semi-autobiographical account of his struggles with alcohol and the toll it can take on a person.
The two artists are now label-mates at BBR Music Group, and this upcoming release which was penned by Jordan Walker, Trannie Anderson and Michael Carter will mark Chayce’s label-debut single. He describes working with Lindsay on this track as “a blast“, adding that “Being in the studio with such a talented artist really took this song to a new level for me“.
Lindsay says “There is such a raw intensity in this song that when A&R brought it to me, I knew I had to cut it… it hit me like lightening. Chayce, wow did he bring it on this song. I had heard so many great things about him but he more than understood the assignment on this one“.
“Can’t Do Without Me” drops the same night Lindsay is set to co-host the 2021 Canadian Country Music Awards, where she is the most nominated female artist with five nominations. She is currently hosting Canada’s Got Talent and recently kicked off her first headlining tour of Canada, having recently been out on the road with Blake Shelton on his Heroes & Friends Tour.
And of course, as you may well be aware, it has recently been announced that she is heading back over the pond next August to play The Long Road Festival… we can’t wait to see you there, Lindsay!
