Nashville’s Payton Howie Releases Patriotic New Single “Keep Her Breathing”

Leading the next generation of redneck women ( her sound and energy immediately brought to mind the legendary Gretchen Wilson for me) Nashville based recording artist and Texan native Payton Howie is wasting no time building on the success of her debut EP, ” Youngblood” . Released earlier this year it has received over a million streams and inspired her first 16-city tour, with singles from the project featuring on several Spotify Editorial playlists and receiving placement on international publications including CMT, The Boot and Sounds Like Nashville. Handpicked to share the stage with Carrie Underwood aged just 5, Payton unapolegetically embodies the untamed tradition that country music was built on and is hellbent on bringing her own grit to the honky tonk!

Just one listen to her new patriotic single, “Keep Her Breathing“, released ahead of the July 4th Independence Day weekend and you will really get the essence of what Payton stands for both musically and personally. The track expresses her gratitude for the Land of the Free, as she says of the release “The one thing you can’t take away from a true American patriot is their willingness to stand up and defend the liberties that our country was built on. I sing this song to honor those that have died, fought, and are still standing for the freedoms we have”.

Via social media, Payton thanked her co-producers and co-writers on the track, Michael Austin and Erik Halbig, alongside the wonderful Morgan Myles who added her “fricken fire background vocals” to the song.
Having recently opened for Chayce Beckham and Laci Kaye Booth at the Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival in CaliforniaPayton has headline shows throughout the Summer and spilling into October, all details can be found at
