Even the desert’s scorching temperatures can’t hold a candle to Demi Lovato.

At 33 years old, the pop sensation embraced a daring look featuring sheer mesh and a backless dress that dipped dramatically, for her latest Who What Wear magazine cover shoot, declaring a bold new phase with her “It’s Not That Deep” era.

Discussing her latest dance-pop album, which quickly rose to the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 after its release on October 24, Lovato shared with the magazine, “The vibe of the album is definitely fun… Can I venture to say, cheeky?”

In the rugged setting of California, Lovato was photographed wearing an Amiri halter dress that reached the floor, adorned with light pink faux pearls and featuring a deep, daring back that extended down her spine.

She also showcased a red-and-pink sheer outfit by Vel Don Sa Lim, which included side cutouts. This look continues the dancewear-inspired theme she has consistently displayed throughout this album’s promotions.

Another striking outfit featured Lovato in a silk Ami shirt accented with a corset by Elias Matso, a designer known for his recent work with Christian Cowan on the viral sheer silver gown worn by Sydney Sweeney.

In her detailed interview, Lovato opened up about various personal topics including sober clubbing and her transition from friendship to romance with her spouse, Jordan “Jutes” Lutes.

The pair got married in a stunning Vivienne Westwood dress in Santa Barbara in May. They originally met in January 2022 during a songwriting session for Lovato’s rock album “Holy Fvck.”

“Our relationship started platonic before it turned romantic,” Lovato revealed. “I was really vulnerable with him because at that time, I was just out of treatment, newly sober, and very open about my feelings,” she recounted.

Now three years sober, Lovato drew inspiration from EDM and the club scene for her ninth studio album.

“It’s not actually the clubbing lifestyle I’m after,” she clarified, “it’s the energy of the music. Whether you’re in a night club or just getting ready in your bathroom, or even driving, it’s about the feeling the music gives you… It’s about the sense of freedom and empowerment I experience now,” she elaborated.

Demi Lovato’s “It’s Not That Deep” North American tour is set to start in April 2026, kicking off in Charlotte, North Carolina.
