The hit series “Abbott Elementary” makes its return to ABC this evening, October 7, for its sixth season.
Quinta Brunson, who not only stars in but also created the series, hinted in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that this season would focus significantly on male characters, particularly with substantial developments for Gregory (played by Tyler James Williams) and Jacob (played by Chris Perfetti).

The season’s opening episode, titled “Jungle Classroom,” sees Gregory and Ava grappling with new dynamics. Meanwhile, Barbara seeks Jacob’s assistance; Janine revamps her classroom, and Melissa strives to reclaim her classroom.
This season will also celebrate the series’ 100th episode. According to Deadline, this special episode will be shot at Disneyland over the coming month.
