Will Ferrell, a former cast member from 1995 to 2001, is returning to host for the sixth time. His most recent “SNL” appearance was during the 50th anniversary special in February 2025. Ferrell is promoting his new comedy on Netflix, “The Hawk.”

Paul McCartney is also making a comeback to “SNL” for his seventh appearance. His most recent performance was during the 50th anniversary special, where he sang “Golden Slumbers,” “Carry That Weight,” and “The End.” McCartney’s 21st studio album, “The Boys of Dungeon Lane,” will be released on May 29.
